WE'RE ONE

picture, credit to: Google

One by one..
God are testing us,
His servants..
to see how we adapt to all of His tests..
Redha???or not???

MH 370..
MH 17..
QZ 8501...
and FLOODS...

There are hidden messages..
That can't be seen by eyes..
but see with your heart...

We doesn't have time..
To find each other mistakes..
Open your eyes..
and see your surrounding..

We're one..
We must unite..
Together..
and help each other.

Mother, Mak, Mummy,Ummi,Ibu...

Dedicated to all mothers and mother-to-be in the world, especially my beautiful mother, Latifah Abdullah….

There are angel God put on this world,
They care for us and guide us,
You can feel their love and gentleness,
As they walk through life beside us,
They do great things for us every day,
They whisper in our ears,
They even hold us in their heart.

When we’re filled with all our fears,
They’re always there to give a hug,
And try to make us smile,
They treat us with respect and LOVE..

God blessed me with an angel,
I’m proud to call it my own,
She’s been throughout my life,
Been with me as I’ve grown,
She’s guided me the best she can,
She taught me like no other,
And…
I’m really thankful,
I’m the lucky one,
Who gets to call her…MOTHER

Kuih Karas's Recipe

I'm so excited and can't wait until tomorrow.
So, as I promised before, here is Kuih Karas's recipe:

Ingredients:

480g Rice Flour
400g Sugar
560ml Hot Water
2 ladles Cooking Oil

Methods:

1. Dissolve sugar in hot water. Add hot syrup into Rice Flour gradually to get a smooth, thick batter. Leave at room temperature for 20 - 30 minutes.
2. Heat oil in frying pan. Pour some batter into a Kuih Karas mould and move it in a circular motion to form a thin, lacy pancake in the hot oil.
3. When the colour turns golden brown, fold it into half and let it cool in a plate.

This recipe can prepare 8 - 10 pieces of Kuih Karas (diameter 150mm).

Look easy but then quite difficult to shape it.

You can watch this video and learn on how to make Kuih Karas.

Kedah's cakes

Assalamualaikum and good morning everyone...

Kedah’s taste buds are more inclined to the sweet side hence desserts and sweet dishes are popular here. These sweet indulgences include Bahulu and Dodol. These sweet cakes are made from flour, coconut and sugar.
Kuih Karas is also a popular dessert here. The crispy, sweet kuih that resembles fried vermicelli can be widely found at stall and markets around Kedah. Actually, Kuih Karas is my favourite cakes. My mother always make it during Hari Raya. Another sweet delicacy in Kedah is Serabai, a rice flour pancake laced with thin syrup made of coconut milk and sweetened with palm sugar.
